Omega Strip, Inc. (www.omegastrip.net), inventors of Omega Strip, a patented wire and cable control product, has secured a licensing agreement with Power Products LLC, a global manufacturer and supplier of electrical products for construction and maintenance, recreational marine and specialty vehicles, industrial power, and transportation. Gardner Bender a division of Power Products LLC, that manufactures and facilitates the distribution and direct sales of wire and cable management products and other products has just returned from a highly successful roll-out of Omega Strip (under their trade name “Grip Strip”) at the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas. In business for over 50 years, Gardner Bender has over 3,000 products stocked on over 1.0 million square feet of shelf space at more than 15,000 locations throughout the Americas, including leading electrical, industrial and catalog distributors, as well as leading home centers, hardware stores and e-commerce sites.

Omega Strip is a wire and cable control product that, without the use of tools, enables the user to hide and guide wires and cables such as the ones associated with desk top computers and installations of video games, home theaters, TV’s, and a number of automotive aftermarket items such as speakers. Eventual production of an array of sizes and colors will facilitate the camouflage of wires and cables allowing them to blend in to their surroundings and become almost unnoticeable.

Omega Strip began as an idea, by Jim McKane when faced with the task of setting up a number of desktop computers after moving to Mission Viejo, CA from the Chicago area with his wife Marlene in 2007. Omega Strip received an 18 claim utility patent in late 2009 and the last seven years have been spent in design, development, prototyping and market research. Jim McKane introduced Omega Strip to management personnel at Gardner Bender on the last day of last year’s National Hardware Show in Vegas and exactly 365 days later received an approved licensing contract with their parent company.
